'Maintenance is considered an annual inspection by IBA/Certified Remington Armorer with intermittent care by the operator throughout the year. Monitoring for debris, gritty material, dried/congealed oil, dirt buildup and rust should be the priority. Compressed air can be used to dislodge most items, preferably outside of the mechanism. If those items become lodged inside the trigger housing, an immediate inspection is necessary, again, by IBA/Remington Armorer. The shooter/owner should always inspect for rust/corrosion and if noticed, coat the exterior of the trigger housing with a very light coat of non-travelling/non-migrating oil [IBA recommends FP-10]. If there is rust seen inside the trigger mechanism it should be sent into IBA for inspection immediately.'
