-Totally rebuilt and restored by IBA to better than NEW condition.

-New Barnett Match barrel, GI contour, caliber 30-06, 1 X 12 twist.

-All parts inspected, gauged and certified.

-All metal has been re-parkerized to GI specifications.

-New buttstock hand fitted for perfect wood to metal contact. Handguards are original GI.

-All wood is walnut stained and finished by hand with multiple coats of Tru-oil with a final coat of wax  for preservation, water repellency, and durability.

-This rifle is a superbly built, beautiful and a shootable piece of Americana. Perfect in every detail.

-Range fired with Battle sight zero recorded for further range use.

DESCRIPTION: Original McMillan M40A1 stock-USMC issue circa 1977-1981. When the Corps wanted new A4 stocks, some of these A1 stocks were returned to McMillan Rifle Stock Company and subsequently sold. A nice diploma like document was also provided with each one, attesting to the authenticity. This is an ‘as issued’, ‘as taken off’, ‘as provided’—this stock came off a war gun and shows the wear and tear from hard field use. It has been camo painted and still has some built up cheek piece tape and material stuck on. Apparently, most of the stocks[including this one] were traded in with the original fitted, floor plate metal and sling swivels as shown in the picture. The price reflects authenticity and scarcity. No other claims are made, or suggested- just an opportunity to purchase a real historical piece of Americana.
